Dr. Aislinn Parker is a Harvard trained psychologist in private practice since 1991 who has been practicing in Queens, NY since 1997. She enjoys working with people facing a wide range of challenges. She works most in foster care with birth and foster parents. She helps families with their issues dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, trauma and upsetting events, and helping children, young adults, and adults move forward in their lives. She focuses her practice on identifying and overcoming challenges from past trauma and active mental health issues which prevent people from living a more peaceful and fulfilled life. Dr. Parker is certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy and often utilizes this therapeutic tool for the treatment of upsetting events and negative thoughts or beliefs that are currently getting in the way of her patients. Before moving to New York, Dr. Parker was a consulting psychologist for a residential treatment center for children in Boston.

Dr. Parker worked and trained in Harvard Medical School training hospitals. Dr. Parker served as a staff psychologist at McLean Hospital and a Clinical Instructor at Harvard Medical School for three years following her training there. She completed an internship in Child and Adult Psychology at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts Mental Health Center and a two year Postdoctoral Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychology at Harvard Medical School Training Hospital, McLean Hospital in Belmont, Massachusetts.


Dr. Aislinn grew up in Staten Island, New York. She received her Bachelor’s (magna cum laude) from University of Pennsylvania in 1985 and earned her PhD in clinical psychology in 1990 at Adelphi University, Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies in New York. She completed her clinical training in New York and Boston. As part of her training, she also worked in a university counseling center at UPenn, and a child guidance clinic in New York before completing her internship and post-doctoral fellowships in Boston.


Dr. Aislinn is a loving wife and leads an active and healthy lifestyle.
